Oh, she's beautiful! Yeah, I can see why they are terrified :o) She looks pretty sweet to me. Please make my children spend time with her. We have 3 cats here...including one we affectionately call our "psycho cat." :o)

ooooooooo! Me very afraid!

For all of you who are worried...Jonas was scared for about three days and now he is fine about the cats. He really observed all of us and how we interact with the cats.

And Shannon just an FYI our cats are HUGE! The rats would be VERY afraid of our cats! Tee Hee!

Adorable!! I hope that our boys get used to the monster kitty-as we have one of our own too. He's a pest! Looks like Eames, but is black and white. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy!

Kristina, Jonas was probably the least afraid of the cat of all the kids here!! maybe it was just because his dad was here and all the excitement of going home that he wasn't going to let the kitten get to him!

and Kathy, your 3 are absolutely terrified of her. the day we skyped with you, we had to shut her in the bathroom because the kids could not calm down. Shakira was screaming. Caleb was crying. and Samara was a little more quiet about it, but she would hide. :) what's really funny-- recently, i was in the nursery and a nanny was giving Caleb a bath on the changing table area. he started crying. i just figured he didn't want his bath! but then i found out the real reason, the kitten had gone out on my balcony, and he had seen her.

i'm sure though, like Kristina said with Jonas, once the kids go home and are in a different environment, they will adjust better to a cat. hopefully. :)

Oh, great that's encouraging news! :o) Maybe if they see me & Phoebe pet Eames while we're their they'll realize that she's ok...one can hope!

Oh yes. Eames is obviously quite ferocious. No wonder the children are terrified!

Oh my, Kathy! It sounds like you and Phoebe have a job to do in teaching your Haitian kids that kitties are good things. I'll have to add that to my prayer list. Having a 3-cat household ourselves I can understand your concern!

I know Justin's been in, but has Petey seen the kitty yet, Megs? I hope he doesn't shriek like he did when I showed him grass!

I am glad to hear Jonas adjusted quickly to y'all's cat, Kristina. That's encouraging!
